| Rachel Gaw is a contemporary
designer maker who specialises in tactile jewellery made from
a combination of polyester resin, aluminium and silicon rubber.
She is based in Cumbria and works from her studio at home. |
| Her inspiration comes from
various different areas such as fruit and tropical fish to robots
and science fiction. Her use of sumptuous colours against the
simplicity of silver brings the jewellery to life, however her
science fiction inspired pieces explore hidden qualities and
dual purposes. |
She has also recently become
a member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
